Robbie Sutton, Owner
Robbie, a Wilmington native, has a passion for renewable energy. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. His courses ranged from Solar Design to Energy Conservation in Industry, and he has continued his education with over 80 continuing-education credit hours! During his course of study, he helped design a mock home for the solar decathlon that used NET-ZERO energy.
Robbie has passed the NABCEP Entry-Level Exam for Solar PV and attended training from the North Carolina Solar Center for solar thermal. He is the qualifier for Carolina Green Building's GC License. He also teaches Continuing Education for N.C. Inspections Departments on the fundamentals of solar and wind. In addition, Robbie was an instructor for and developed Cape Fear Community College's Jobs NOW! Program for "Solar Installer Training" and sits on the board of directors for CFCC's Sustainable Technologies Program. Beyond renewables, Robbie enjoys sailing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Garth Gray, Solar Installer
Garth has been fascinated with sustainable building technologies ever since remodeling his first home. He graduated with a B.S. in Construction Management and Minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University. Garth has knowledge and experience in installing solar pv/solar hot water systems, home remodeling, marketing, and sales. He enjoys spending time wakeboarding, snowboarding, and traveling with friends and family.
